No Regrets.

Here’s what I did today (Sunday):

  1. Stayed in my jammies.
  2. Read my bible and journaled.
  3. Made blueberry pancakes for the family – and enjoyed a couple.
  4. Finished a novel.
  5. Listened to classical music all day.
  6. Took a nap with my husband and youngest.
  7. Looked through a box of old recipes I had cut from magazines.
  8. Read about Moses to my boys.
  9. Answered 100 questions about Moses.
  10. Practiced a play my oldest son wrote.
  11. Watched a show he put on for us.
  12. Watched a light saber battle between my two boys.
  13. Played Farkle with my oldest.
  14. Sat on the couch while my husband cooked (!) stir fry.

What I did NOT do today:

  1. Go to church.
  2. Regret it.
  3. Watch TV.
  4. Regret it.
  5. Check my email or facebook
  6. Regret it.

It was a great day.  I love forcing myself to stop the madness of the constant pull to my computer.  I love forcing myself to stay away from the television that seems to completely turn off my brain.  I love focusing on my relationship with God with nothing in the way of it.

I love being in the moment with my boys.

I love just sitting and talking with my husband, or not talking.

I love practicing the Sabbath!

This is my favorite post by far. Purging ourselves from technology is so needed and refreshing. Woohoo Sabbath!

I agree, I loved this post. How true. One of my friends has challenged me to go a week unplugged (aside from work). In some ways I think it might be like fighting an addiction for a couple days, but in another, I think I would let go of that silly pull and dig out a craft or read more.

100 questions about Moses! Whoaaa ;)

I think this comes from one or more of the women in my family “I so love it!” or “Love it!” Something along those lines. Nice post Tammy. Good stuff!
