No Regrets.
Here’s what I did today (Sunday):
- Stayed in my jammies.
- Read my bible and journaled.
- Made blueberry pancakes for the family – and enjoyed a couple.
- Finished a novel.
- Listened to classical music all day.
- Took a nap with my husband and youngest.
- Looked through a box of old recipes I had cut from magazines.
- Read about Moses to my boys.
- Answered 100 questions about Moses.
- Practiced a play my oldest son wrote.
- Watched a show he put on for us.
- Watched a light saber battle between my two boys.
- Played Farkle with my oldest.
- Sat on the couch while my husband cooked (!) stir fry.
What I did NOT do today:
- Go to church.
- Regret it.
- Watch TV.
- Regret it.
- Check my email or facebook
- Regret it.
It was a great day. I love forcing myself to stop the madness of the constant pull to my computer. I love forcing myself to stay away from the television that seems to completely turn off my brain. I love focusing on my relationship with God with nothing in the way of it.
I love being in the moment with my boys.
I love just sitting and talking with my husband, or not talking.
I love practicing the Sabbath!

This is my favorite post by far. Purging ourselves from technology is so needed and refreshing. Woohoo Sabbath!
I agree, I loved this post. How true. One of my friends has challenged me to go a week unplugged (aside from work). In some ways I think it might be like fighting an addiction for a couple days, but in another, I think I would let go of that silly pull and dig out a craft or read more.
100 questions about Moses! Whoaaa
I think this comes from one or more of the women in my family “I so love it!” or “Love it!” Something along those lines. Nice post Tammy. Good stuff!
Thanks Aaron!
