My Ultimate Christmas Wishlist
I am sitting here feeling a bit melancholy today, because though some days I feel I can conquer the world and my dreams will all come true, today isn’t one of those days.
At times, I want to jump ahead and have the full reality of my dreams without taking the steps to reach my goals one at a time. I have learned over the years that writing out my goals helps to see those dreams become reality, so I thought today I make a wishlist since that’s what Christmas is all about; making a list for Santa and hoping you receive at least one or two of the things on your list on Christmas morning.
If only grownups could become a kid again once in a while.
I believe in the magic of Christmas and I also believe that if you do not ask, you do not receive. So here goes – my Christmas wishlist for 2008.
- A horse of my own
- $600 to register for my certification in April
- A friendship with a local stable owner who sees the value in what I am doing and would like to partner with me
- A donation of barn space for my horse with the potential ability to host my own private lessons
- A job working at a center for Equine Assisted Activities with the hours of 9-3 four days a week
Maybe you are reading this and thinking I am crazy, or maybe you are cheering me on! It doesn’t really matter, because it did make me feel better.
Here’s to dreams coming true this Christmas!

You inspire me, Hon! working on that horse stable for the back yard….
i am cheering you on…go dreams!
I’m happy to have found your blog. Seems we have a similar passion for and philosophy about the horse human connection. I know it’s not easy to become a therapeutic riding instructor, and it’s something you do for love not money. Wish I was in a position to help with your wishlist, but I will be cheering you on and sending good thoughts that all your dreams come true.
Pursuing your dreams is never crazy. I am cheering you on!!!
